About Lee Labor Law
The Lee Labor Law Approach
Lee Labor Law was founded on the belief that organizations facing complex workplace issues deserve more than legal answers—they deserve thoughtful guidance, sound judgment, and a trusted professional who understands both the legal and practical realities of the modern workplace.
The firm provides two distinct services: employment counseling and independent workplace investigations. Although these services serve different purposes, each is grounded in the same commitment to professionalism, integrity, careful analysis, and respect for the individuals involved. Every engagement is approached with the goal of helping organizations navigate difficult workplace issues thoughtfully, fairly, and effectively.
Whether advising employers on significant workplace decisions or conducting independent investigations into sensitive allegations, Lee Labor Law believes that the quality of the process is just as important as the outcome. Careful preparation, objective analysis, clear communication, and practical judgment help organizations make informed decisions, strengthen workplace culture, and inspire confidence in the decisions they make.
A Commitment to Independence
The integrity of an independent workplace investigation depends upon the investigator's neutrality, objectivity, and professional judgment. For that reason, Lee Labor Law intentionally maintains a clear separation between its employment counseling and independent investigation practices.
When retained as employment counsel, the firm's role is to advise and advocate for the organization's legal and business interests. When retained to conduct an independent workplace investigation, however, the firm's role is fundamentally different—to serve as a neutral fact finder, gather and evaluate the evidence objectively, and reach factual findings based solely on the information obtained during the investigation.
To preserve the independence and credibility of the investigative process, Lee Labor Law does not conduct independent workplace investigations for organizations that the firm currently advises or has previously advised on employment matters. Maintaining this distinction allows clients, employees, governing bodies, and other stakeholders to have confidence that investigative findings are impartial, unbiased, and free from the influence of an existing advisory relationship.
Independence is not simply a professional obligation—it is the foundation of a credible workplace investigation.
Leadership
Christine C. Lee (AWI-CH)
Founder and Principal Attorney Investigator
Christine Lee founded Lee Labor Law to provide California employers with thoughtful employment counseling and independent workplace investigations grounded in professionalism, sound judgment, and practical solutions. With more than two decades of experience in employment law, Christine advises organizations on complex workplace issues and conducts independent investigations involving sensitive allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, executive misconduct, and other workplace concerns.
Christine's practice is built on two distinct areas of service: employment counseling and independent workplace investigations. As employment counsel, she partners with employers to navigate difficult personnel decisions, workplace policies, and evolving employment law issues. As an independent investigator, she serves as a neutral fact finder, conducting fair, thorough, and impartial investigations designed to provide organizations with credible factual findings upon which they can make informed decisions.
Before founding Lee Labor Law, Christine represented California employers in employment litigation and workplace investigations with regional and national law firms. That experience continues to inform her practical, business-minded approach to advising employers and her understanding of how workplace decisions and investigative processes may later be examined when disputes arise.
